Petals In A Lawyer Diary: Deflowering a Tulip

This spring-themed poem is published in “The Weekly Avocet – #70″.

You gifted me a spring entry
With a bunch of velvety blooms.

Once again I was your bride
Hands clasped on tulips bouquet.

A shy maiden of your love
I closed tightly my flowery soul.

When darkness knocked
I flowered from our heat.

With you my senses were lost
Night became day and reverse.

When your hands found me
I was done being just a flower.

You became the reason
I blushed with silky vibrancy.

My petals tired not receiving you
Until dawn announced arrival.

I remained a pink bloom
Sweetened as apricot fruit.
