Featuring a flag on landmarks and other structures is one way of showing solidarity with those grieving on aftermath of terrorist attacks. We can also unite all the world’s flags and form a healing rainbow everyday. The below poem is a rework of Our Father/The Lord’s Prayer.
Our flags
the colours united
how beautiful is our union.
They will come to us.
They will seek our peace
emanating from spirit and soul.
Live this day as it were a blessing
and give not this day to oppressing.
Beseech not what is futility
but what delivers stability.
Fall not into revenge attempts
as we weep to seek redemption.
And heal us with a rainbow
from the colours of our flags.
Amen.
