In the name of our ancestors,
ourselves and future generations
I will meet you half way.
Your aggression will be erased
from my heart and mind
to free our souls and spirits.
Take, this day, my hand
and promise to absolve
what my forefathers and I did
to you and your kin.
Surrender not
into brutal deliberations
for the sake of our peoples’ peace.
Intend forgiveness today
as I seek it with introspection.
Accept this as our pact
and the beginning of our healing.
