Akam meaning inside, is a Malayalam magazine based in Kerala, India. For their September 2016 issue I was graced a long interview written by P Surendran Puthiyakalathil, a writer, columnist, art critic and a philanthropist. The interview was based on my two poetry books ‘Mists of Sense Require Fierce Poesy’ and ‘Mahaba Prints in My Heart’.
I was grateful for the interview which showcased some of my writing and what influences it. It was lovely to see some of my poems translated into Malayalam. Concurrently, it was an opportunity for readers to know me better as a Tanzanian-born person with partly Indian roots living in the diaspora.
